The most surprising thing for me was when my 4th grader came home and told me she needed to take a sharp knife to school the next day. They were carving pumpkins, of course! And, they all had to do the carving themselves. We are definitely NOT in Kansas any more!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, you are definitely not...It is a bit more open here in Germany. Glad that you stopped by and hope you enjoyed the posts.
DeleteReally interesting list - I was surprised by quite a few of them. Sarita x
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I was surprised as well. The Hugo Boss one was a bit shocking to me.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI really want to visit the Cologne Cathedral.
632 years - Wow!
That is amazing. Can't wait to see it in person.
Isn't that CRAZY Gina. Makes you feel like a blip in the whole scheme of life doesn't it?
DeleteLove learning new stuff...Albert Einstein? Who knew! I would love to visit Germany some day. All that beer, bread and sausage!!! LOL. New follower!
ReplyDeleteYes, ALL of the bread, beer and sausage make it quite hard to eat healthy. Oh and the fries with Mayo probably aren't to healthy either.
ReplyDeleteDonaudampfschiffahrtselektrizitätenhauptbetriebswerkbauunterbeamtengesellschaft, according to the might Wikipedia and confirmed by German boyfriend is the association for subordinate officials of the head office management of the Danube steamboat electrical services. I think I'm just going to go ahead and try to avoid using that word. It might be hard to do, but I will try. :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha Heather you made me laugh this morning! Yea, it will be hard, but try to STOP using that word! Thanks for the info my fellow German Expat friend!
