what, i have to cook dinner again???

it's a bounty...

friday in my village means the friday market.
you get on your bike, ride into the village and peruse the fresh, local bounty. there is everything from fruit, veg, meat, cheese, bread, and even speciality oils and vinegars.

i tend to go straight for the same stalls every week, and often lack any creative ideas for my menu. this has been the discussion among my expat friends quite a few times this week; what to make for dinner???

so, here is my challenge to everyone!
come up with a creative recipe and post it in the comments section of this blog. if you live in germany, give us your favorite "go to" dinner. if you live outside of germany, remember that beef is not always the best choice of meat in our corner of the world, and pork is in abundance!

have fun and hopefully when we run into one another at the market, we can talk about something other than "what are you making for dinner?"

  3. have you had the lamb from the friday market? delicious. Also- love the big round bread from mediterranean guy for homemade "doner" typer sandwiches. Also have a friend that loves to try all of the cheeses from the cheese lady, and have that with bread and wine for dinner. Can't wait to hear other ideas!
