espana...

well, after 5 cab rides, numerous hours at the airport, and tears from our smallest expat we finally made it! we are in spain! actually, i think it was so difficult to get here that i may never leave. so far it reminds me of one of my favorite places; california! as i look at the gorgeous coastline, i can actually imagine california before it was fully developed!

today we went to the small town of nerja. it was everything you imagine spain to be. the contrast of the white houses and the gorgeous blue of the mediterranean sea was the perfect backdrop for a lunch of paella and a nice glass of rioja.




while we were in nerja we visited the amazing nerja caves. they date back to 25,000 bc...very hard to wrap your mind around that! they were well worth the trip. take a look...



what an great day we had...wonder what tomorrow brings?

      it so reminds me of southern california, and the food is just amazing! the people are also wonderful.

    Are you going to see the Algarve coast in Portugal? One of my all favorite places to stay… so sleepy there, at least in was. Have fun! Ship me some paella please. Happy Easter, Dena Ben and Oliver!
