Where Kate Met Will...

St. Andrews Scotland...

I have to say, I wasn't expecting much from this little town.  Yea, I know it's the "home of golf", my fourteen year old had reminded me of this on numerous occasions, but I can't say I was thrilled.  That is until we arrived!  It was gorgeous...full of wonderful cafes, adorable boutiques and the topper on my day...

Yep, that is where the Prince Wills and Princess Kate used to meet to have coffee!!!  Oh, I was over the moon about this, would have been better if I had seen them but oh well!  I guess the fact that there were some amazing ruins around the town didn't hurt either!

Oh yea, and there was this...

I guess we did have to see the 18th hole of the St. Andrews Old Course, after all this is the "home of golf!"

Thank you St. Andrews for surprising me with your charm!

  1. Sometimes little towns are more enjoyable to visit than the big ones - less to see, less pressure!
Did you have a coffee there?

    1. I so agree Jen! We just strolled around and found interesting things as we wend. I have to say I didn't have a coffee there. Walked by and it was packed, didn't take a picture so had to have a drive by photo! Would have been even more cool if they were there...Oh well, she does have this whole "baby thing" going on so having coffee with me probably wasn't on her agenda!
