Day trip to Holland part 2...

Okay, so I am a day late but here goes...

The second half of our Sunday lead us to the Marshall Museum which is also located in Liberty Park.  This museum has the largest collections of wartime vehicles and vessels in Europe, with over 150 in the 2.5 acre museum.  The museum covers the invasion of Normandy on D-Day, the Battle of Arnhem and the Battle in the Ardennes.

The amazing assortment of vehicles have all been re-built and made roadworthy, so they are in mint condition and quite amazing to see.  The museum makes a point of making you feel as if you have stepped back in time and are seeing the items in the environment in which they were used.

This is an easy day trip from Dusseldorf, Amsterdam or the surrounding areas and so worth the trip!
